Hey,
Prolly a stupid question but what are roller rockers and how do they work because i have no idea??
P1000696.JPGRoller rockers have roller bearings in the trunnion (pivot point) and a roller on the tip where it pushes on the valve.
what ratio should be used on vn v6 and what size hole do ya need. in other words if i was looking at buying some what would i look for to suit my vn series 1
Wait till Yella Terra have there site up and running, you'll find they have just the thing for you.
Well thanks roger05 but the website is still a while off. It's gunna be a big one.
defa' you can run 1.8's on the VN if the camshaft is still standard. if you don't know what size mounting bolts they are you will have to call and we can tell you (up to what engine numbers had 3/8' and what had 5/16")
Cheers.
Mark
Yella Terra R&D dep't
how much are the 1.8's?
ive seen a few people go for 1.6:1 and 1.65:1 ratio roller rockers.
Im prety sure 1.6 is stock so is there any advantage getting a stock ratio with a roller tip.
Ive already got FIT 1.95:1 rockers but im just curious
Check out My SV8 One Tonner
You can get a lot farther with a kind word and a gun than a kind word alone
Standard ratio on a VN is 1.6.
We make lightweight billet rockers in 1.7 and 1.8.
price will vary around the traps but high $600's is about the going rate.
Standard ratio on a VT is 1.65.
The Ultralight rockers for them come in 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.84 1.9 1.95
price is about the same as VN
Cheers.
Mark.
is it worth the $600. is it going to be a noticeable difference??
do YT offer any packages for ecotecs.
yeah will the 1.7 YT make a noticible difference in a VR ????
i got the YT 1.9.1's in my car, straight away made a awesome improvement.
love it!
what sort of improvement did you get? Better acceleration? mid range? or all over?
Yeah that is for the ecotec engine....i am wondering for the Buick engine VR 1.7YT??? cheers
i noticed it all over, on an ecotec.
