yeap wishful thinking on my part i spose..
back to the drawing board!
thanks again champ
well the measurements are in.. he had a look at the drawing and with a lil taunting, he snapped it up.. Hes not goin for the wood design, but just goin to make it out of alloy..
So i guess now its the waiting game, not too sure when he'll start, but he said it shouldnt take too long! i just dont wanna get my hopes up.
Will drop on my headers early next week, get a dyno read out, so i have base fugures, and then do an after run, see if it works as good as i hope it looks![]()
all guru's of memcals n tuning, wanting to know if i can run dual MAF's on my new intake setup, still in the process and i dont have pics yet sorry guys!
will be similar to the sureflo otrcai setup but with dual MAF's and dual pods.. can this be done? will i have to splice the maf wires to run them both or will i have to patch in a new harness for the second MAF?
cheers
so no takers with the second maf..
Calling all ppl with dual throttle bodies.. what have u done with the IAC?? have you just blocked off the hole in the second throttle or have a dummy IAC sitting there? or they are both in there and working?
Looking forward to ur replys
i hadnt read this thread for a while....im 99% sure you can run dual maf's and they run independantly (not spliced wires). there are spare inputs in the pcm which enable the second maf to be wired up. i remember reading about this somewhere - ill try to find it.
as for the IAC on dual t/b's, the second t/b (the one without the throttle cable) is a complete dummy...it has no TPS and no IAC. i got this stuff from autobarn and filled the socket for the IAC up with it. it comes out as a liquid and then sets like metal...cant remember what the hell it was called.
but yeah, you need to completely block off that second t/b's IAC, any air at all passing through will result in a high idle with no way to control it.
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.
ok, i found where i read about the dual maf's. have a read of this:

thanks for that sircruise, just what i needed! haha didnt relise it was on the forum, i kept searching for dual, not twin.
becuz i will have 2 plenums, wont i need both iac's working? one bank will get the idle air and the other wont.. i wonder if u can have both 2xIAC & 2xMAF.. more than one spare channel..![]()
hmm, dunno about the two IAC's working....i just know from my experience when i had twin t/b's that the second one needs to be blocked off. otherwise the idle is way too high (like 2000rpm).
but your right, with two plenums both need air...so i dunno.

well i called the mate thats building this headache, and i thought he would have at least cut up my manifold.. but he hasnt had time to scratch atm, so i am waiting with great anticipation on this project and progress, sooo as soon as i hear from him, i'll let you'll know. hes gonna take pics n stuff too
already thinking of my next manifold design now! thats what waiting does to a bloke, gets u thinking and thinking![]()
wanna keep this sucker here until the completion![]()
sorry guys, no updates, but im keeping the dream alive!!
