    Question super6 pistons how much?

    hi guys how much are supercharged l67 pistons new / 2nd hand. with rings / without rings etc. hunting down parts for my car.

    first of all dont they run a lower compression??? as far as i know the L67 is still a buick engine, they use them over they're with the exact same charger

    not sure it would just bolt on to the ecotech, as they probbly have diffrent sized rods... im not %100 sure as im not a expert on this engine, ask blown v6 hatch.. he can help

    if you doing a turbo which your sig says you might want to go for forged pistons, L67 pistons are still cast not forged so pending on how much boost you want to run, if i were you, id use the entire bottom end for the L67

    im running a T04E on my LN3.. well running is debatable, havnt got the turbo to spool as of yet due to some spark issues but id wanna drop my compression if i were you so why not just swap to the L67?

    worth thinking about

    The L67 isn't typically known as a buick engine. As far as I know the buick motor is the VN-VR v6, pre ecotec.

    Yep the L67 does run lower compression to the ecotec. The L67 runs at 8.5:1

    The crank in the L67 is the same as the ecotec. Yep the rods are different, I know the gudgeon pin diameter is diffferent with the L67 being larger. I'm pretty sure the L67 is 23mm and the ecotec is 22mm.

    The standard L67 pistons are quite dear through Holden. Although there are some alternatives. ACL make a set of hyperutectic pistons for a budget build. They are top quality and well made. They also make a forged set from what Ive beent old. YOu can also get full forged pistons from Arias. These are a great choice! I'm pretty sure Rocket industries sells them for about $1000. Includes rings and gudgeon pins.

    ye im gettin them priced @ trade from holden. i heard theres a acl kit you can get for 700ish.

    hey there, ive got a vs ecotec and a brand new set of teflon vs s/c pistons from holden (cost 145ech) i just need the gugeon n pins or if someone wants to swap or buy or anything of the sort inc where to get conrods also let me know.

    hey again, i just got a quote from acl for 1200 on the set of forged pistons but i got a burnt L67 engine for 1500 that im going to fix up and no longer really need the new set i bought so if someones wanting them ill sell the 6 brand new teflon V6 vs pistons for less- 600 no less.brand new and as is if no takers ill just swap em over for the ones that are in there...guessing ital just give her a bit longer life or something and ill sell the old ones if someone wants to make an offer on them?also petezor where did you get the 700 figure from?
