Im looking at Royal Purple or Castrol Edge for a raptor s/c Vy for my next oil change. Can anyone tell me if they have used these oils on a s/c engine and what they think.Or what you recommend for a s/c engine.

CE 10-40 is usually about $35. It's fairly good but it seems to break down after more than 6-7000kms. My L67 is boosted so that might have something to do with the break down but I think that oil should be changed every 5000kms anyway so the $35 CE is a no brainer for me. Penrite SIN5 is $15 extra but a pretty solid oil imo. Holds up for heaps of kms.
I gave silverbullet a new lease of life.I quenched her thirst with Royal Purple oil and she's running sweeeeeeet..For example on the highway a wrx emerged and went across 3 lanes into my path in the fast lane.I was doing 110k (the speed limit) and he decided to do 100k. I stayed calm for about 5 minutes and then gave him a quick flash to move over, but instead he started to pass another car and surprise surprise he slows down to the passing cars speed 80k.Couple minutes pass and he accelerates,so i drop 2 gears and flew past him like he was standing stillI think the guy was a little shocked

good to hear your enjoying the royal purple, its crazy good stuff! you will probably even notice your engine temps are lower too - i know i did. this is due to less friction of metal to metal with the superior lubrication of royal purple oil. my engine temps these days barely get to 1/4 - even less- on a cold day/night.
