V6 Exhaust that 'bubbles'
I have a 1997 VT Wagon V6, And I want an exhaust that bubbles nicely. I seen a VT sedan yesterday, it was just a V6 s pack and the exhaust sounded awesome with the bubbles popping through as it slowed down.
What would I be asking for to get the same result with my exhaust?
Thanks.

...try down shifting when you slow down
that will give you 'a' bubble/popping sound

lol interesting question! i find that v6's with cat back, single intermediate sports muffler and straight pipe out to the back tend to pop and crackle and carry on a bit more. I've had 5 different combos of mufflers and pipes on my car, so i pretty much think im on to it. lol
Helps if you car is a manual too, as the crackle occurs when u down change. doing it too much on an auto will see it destroying itself quick smart... yes, i have experienced that too!

Muffler on the front, tail pipe on the rear will give you that sound, but be warned, it will drone like buggery at 60-80 km/h.

I had a 2.5" Supercat exhaust on mine, with the mid-muffler and no rear. That thing used to snap crackle and pop like there was no tomorrow. Engine braking from 80kph she would splutter and fire like a machine gun.

You'll struggle to get a great sound from an auto. With a manual, when you down change with your foot off clutch and accelerator, the injectors will switch off. This causes the "backfiring" bubbling sound.
An auto will do the same, but the revs have to be a lot higher. EG, the injectors might switch off when your above 3000rpm.
So manual will always give a much better sound. Mine is really amazing, sounds ****ing sweet, bit hard to record though. Might try one day...
Anyway ive got a pacemaker extrators, Y peice, and a rear resonator. No drone between 1500-2200rpm, which is great for cruising.
