Just wondering if anybody has used these products and if so what where your thoughts???
ive got one of the insulators on my VS. cant say i felt any "seat of the pants" improvement from it and im yet to have it back on my regular dyno to check for gains in torque as claimed.
as for reducing the heat transfer, ive popped the bonnet a few times after driving and the plenum is still heaps ****ing hot, lol. so i dunno that its doing anything there.
im holding off my final judgement till ive had it back on the dyno though, as in theory it should yeld gains from the increase in runner length.
Quagmire: My fellow Americans, I have not been entirely truthful with you. I did gagoogidy that girl. I gashmoygadied her gaflavity with my googus. And I am sorry.
I didn't pick up anything great as a gain on mine, but again like Sircruise O need to dyno it.
Richie Rich on here installed one and dyno showed a large drop in power, he had a subsequent retune and arrived back at same power that he had prior to installing the manifold insulator. He can respond here if he sees this thread.
The greatest gain in heat reduction that I got was from the "Cool Gasket" that I installed under my EGR valve, now that really did work like a champ. Heaps lower inlet manifold temps

wats a "cool gasket" and how does it work???
thanks for the info, by the way

how much? and is it hard to install??
MACE 25mm Manifold Insulator and 12mm Plenum Spacer fitted the other day, took roughly 35 minutes all up ( no dicking around ) + a bit longer to let the GOO set, no need for instructions, everything is very basic
Now at idle with the bonnet open the whole plenum is cool to the touch even when the engine is hot-hot, obviously with the bonnet closed this heats up but is still a lot cooler than the intake
Bottom end torque has increased and has also seemed to increased throughout the entire rev range, if I have the wheels on any angle while taking off with anything over quarter throttle it will start to spin the wheels
No modification was needed for my bonnet
Quick and easy mod to do, for the extra low down torque you pick up, it is worth the money
Cheers
no need to dig a almost 4 year old thread up to say something you have already said in the mace section twice
Maybe they're hard up for entertainment over there?
Nope just incredibly drunk, got finger happy on the COPY / PASTE
Maybe if you do it enough Mace might give you some freebies lol
Jk dont do that.
