Default Fitting Super6 engine (auto) to manual

Hi,
Just new to the forums, and I've had a bit of a search and couldn't find anything on my subject in particular.
I've got a VR factory manual, and I was looking at buying an engine from a series 3 statesman, a supercharged v6. It was an auto, so I was wondering if there was an adapter plate needed to fit to the manual gearbox, or would it just fit right on?
Thanks

it will bolt up but you need to get the flywheel balanced to suit the l67 use the old auto fexplate and get it mirrrored to that

No adaptor plate needed, all V6's have the same bellhousing bolt pattern. As said, the only thing that will need to be done is get the manual flywheel mirror balanced to suit the L67.

What about engine management??? Obviously the PCM will need to be tuned and the automatic tranny functions switched off to run manual. Loom will need modification to get speedo working etc. Do the buick engine and ecotec/l67 use the same engine mounts?

LOL i remember that PM, sorry about that mate.. Lots of stuffs been going on..

But yes, the engine mounts from vn v6 to vy v6 are all the same mounts from memory, I know 100% vn-vx v6 mounts are the same an I'm assuming that the vy v6 mounts will be the same aswell..

Cheers

The best/easiest way around the ECU/Loom would be to use the existing VR ECU & loom and have the MEMCAL modded/tuned to suit the L67. Someone like Greenfoam would be able to help with the MEMCAL....

Yep exactly modify your current loom it's very do-able use a 2bar map sensor an it's pretty simple from there on.. Tuning an l67 is near as easy as tuning a every day supercharged v6.. No need for the boost solenoid if you have a google you'll find plenty of info about it an I recommend the wallbro 255 fuel pump.

Cheers

Cheers for the info guys.
Well I wont be putting the engine in or any of that stuff, maybe just take it out (because my girlfriend's old man is a tow truck driver ).
And I'll have about 7 grand once my moto is sold, so if anyone in WA wants a 07 KTM SX250F, let me know .
