Cammed v6 exhaust
Got my VS tuned a few weeks ago, and my tuner suggested i upgrade my exhaust... Again...
At the moment it has Advance extractors (just like HM's) 2inch collectors, twin cats into single high flow muffler, single 3 inch out to the back. Goes and sounds sweet as.
These are the mods:
tuned Delco ecu, 1.8 YT Ultra-lite rr's, YT moly pushrods, Custom Tighe camshaft 225@ .050, Crow level III springs, moly locks and retainers, rollmaster timing chain kit, recon stock spec heads, S/C V6 CAI, K&N filter, VX injectors, Ported & modified AFM & throttlebody match ported to plenum, ported intake manifold, Walbro GSS342 fuel pump.. i thinks that all... lol. and 5 speed too
- 240rwhp (179rwkw) on 91 octane Shell
Im currently chasing some 2nd hand pacemakers. also, im looking at upgrading from twin 2 inch to twin 2- 1/4. Then back to single..... as before
Ive been stewing over it for a few weeks now..
*Is it worth it?
*Will there be any gains?
*Should i just stick with what i have?

i think you could leave it with what you have. Maybe spend the $$$ on some head work

You would be losing exhaust velocity where the twins go into single. Putting bigger headers on it and running twin 2 1/4" into single 3" is definitely better. But where do you draw the line? Spending more on the heads is pointless until you get the exhaust working.

Well, the problem is that twin 2.25" will flow more than a single 3". So the single 3" will be a restriction.....You would be much better off going twin 2.25" all the way!

The exhaust will have cooled enough to take up less space. By going twin 2 1/4 into single 3 keeps the exhaust velocity up.

????
I would still go twin 2.25" all the way over a single 3".....
I have a single 3" on my L67 and if i had my time again i would not go a single 3", i would definately go with the twin system. However it would be twin 2.5" though. Having said that, i'm not about to replace a perfectly good exhaust....When it rusts out it will get replaced with twin 2.5"

Quote in context why don't you.
Twin 2" into single 3" doesn't work. Twin 2 1/4" into single 3" does.
