Turboing a ecotech For 4 grand

Hi all i wanna turbo my vx v6 ecotech for around 3 - 4 grand can you please tell me where i can get a kit from or if i cant what should i get to make up a kit like what turbo and who can make me the manifold and all that i really dont care about the performance i just want that VL turbo sound i think its called doesing casue its on you tube i got a link i want that sound coming out of my vx thanks evryone very much

LOl dosin is not a good thing peiople who think it is are idiots compressor surge (which is its proper name) is not good for your turbo

narrr narrr narr uleh,

compression surge compresses the air more when it lyk enters the motorz n stuff that noise is like the motor going into over drive!

it also ****s turbo seals, bearings and creates shaft play, can bend throttle plates but its hektic so it dosnt matter...

most turbo systems will do it on their own just not as much, my supra surges a little when the factory bov goes off, nothing terribly noticable

if your serious about turbocharging you car you'll need more than 3k to do it properly, 3-4k will get u the kit then you need injectors, tune, transmission might not hold up
i spent a good year building a turbo v6, just when i got it running good i lost the car

if your after noise guy buy yourself a vl turbo or be prepared to pay 10-20k getting it done in a workshop & EPA legal...

that is a good dose but i doubt ull get a vx to do that.

araldite a train whistle in the lid of your airbox, that will give a fully sik noise.
Instead of 3-4k, it'll cost 3-4 dollars mate.

jsut buy a vlt for 3k and spend the remaining 1k engineering an amplified dose pipe.

Just get a mp3 of a VL "dosing"... spend that 4G on a sound system and bam! if you time the play button well... effect achieved!....

G,day mate (my recomendation) forget the dose sound for a start!
if you really want to turbo the VX then to my knowledge there is no off the shelf kits to turbo the ecotec yet (anyone confirm?) and 4K will not be anywhere near enough to do what you wanting!! There is a bloke who has a TT vs commodore and it pulls 9 sec passes but he said everything on the car had to be made from scratch and probably cost around a small size house deposit ect so your best bet would be to either save the cash for the build up or buy yourself a Vl turbo and modify it! If you want to turbo the eco and after you have saved a lot of $$$$$ then i would get in contact with street machine mag or go through there articles and get in contact with people in the know who have done the same thing if ya get my drift!
