I'm using a 3800 in my kit car project and want to order some parts from the states.
they give references in the parts lists to on center engines and off center engines.
does anyone know which one the 3800 engines are?

are you reffering to "odd fire" or "even fire" possibly? could have to do with the way the bigends on the cranks for even fire engines are ground offset to each other to help ballance the engine better. from memory the buicks used in the Commodores were all even fire engines

it refers to weather the bore is centered to the rod journal on the crank, or offset to one side.
only want to know aboit the 3800, not ecotec
F you do some googling about v6 alloy buick v6 blocks, there are yank companies making offset(fwd) and centred(rwd)
I think that's what your after.
