Default VN - VS Holden CAI Kits

    Hey guys

Just to clear things up here, i have no ties with the follwoing store and this is not an advertisement for the store or its products.... so nothing sus

Went into Oxley Budget auto parts on the weekend to get a new set of ignition leads for my parents VS when i noticed they had VN - VS Holden Factory CAI kits for a V6. these kits were $92 Each.

Just thought with all the CAI posts lately this might be usefull for people in the brisbane area. I have no idea what the kits normally retail for but im guessing this is pretty cheap. if not then please ignore this

ye surprisingly holden is about the cheapest, my guess is the CAI at ur shop included the bottom of the box, where as the $60 from holden doesnt, its about $90 from holden with the bottom half of the box aswell so its 1 and a half or the other, which one are ya gonna get quicker and which is closer

just wanting to noe how much gains would be made from a pure stock V6 VS from a CAI and not using a high flow air filter like k & n just a normal high performance valalounie one does it even make a differnce with the air filters

Very minimal gains in power. 2-4kw at the most you could expect to gain and that's being generous. You will also have small gains in throttle response and accelaration smoothness, but again minimal.

    Hi Glen,

CAI. stands for cold air intake so its not actually a body kit for the car, it just allows cooler air to be fed into the engine.

Drop a post in the VR - VS section if you are trying to find a body kit for your commodore.

Apart from that welcome to Just Commodores.

all these CAI kits from ebay (such as: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....sPageName=WDVW )

Seriously speaking, are they universal v8/v6?

im highly considering walking up to Holden and ordering it, but yea.. just curious
