VN Gearbox to VR engine V6?

Hey all well my mates AUTO Gearbox in his VR V6, has shit itself and we can get a VN box cheap but will it bolt up?
we know the VN box has kick back to change and the ECU tells the VR box to change but yea just wanting to know if it will fit??

mechanically it bolts straight up, however electronically it's gonna be a bitch unless you can get hold of a VR manual ecu

as long as it's not a series 1 engine in the VN then the auto would mate up with the VR engine fine.
