Air intake temp sensor

Im putting a 304 vt series1 5.0 litre engine into my hilux
ive built a custom airbox to plumb up to my snorkel, so i have to mount the air temp sensor into my airbox ,

what i need to know is on the stock airbox does the temp sensor sit between the top of the air filter and the airbox intake ( upper half of airbox )

or does it sit in the bottom half of the stock airbox between the air filter and air flow meter

Im not sure, not familiar with the 195 motor. But i would imagine it would be on the clean side of the filter. Surley the wouldnt run a sensor in the dirty intake air side of the box. In all honesty, if its just the intake air temp sensor, then its gonna matter very little what side of the filter it sits on. Its all gonna be within .0001 degrees.
