hey all!
just wondering how to tell the difference between a saginaw and munice th350 trans?
cheers
Sounds like you have your gearboxes and transmissions all mixed up.
dunno- i just overheard a bloke at a/barn askin for a th350 speedo cable and the dude behind the counter asked him if it was a saginaw th350 or munice th350! the customer was stumped!!!!! and i was just wondering what he was on about.. so i thought id ask!
A th350 box is a chev 3 speed automatic where as the Muncie and saginaw are both 4 speed manul boxes.
What he may have been alluding to is that the speedo for the TH350 maybe the same as one of the manual boxes.
If my memory serves me correct, both the muncie and saginaw boxes are similar in size but the saginaw case is cast iron and the muncie case is alloy.
The muncie is the stronger of the 2 boxes.
