    Default Cleaning Intake Manifold

How can you clean inside the runners on these manifolds? I rang a local engine place and they didnt want to checmicaly clean it for some reason they gave me about it eating it away.

In that case how do you do it? Already done degreaser, then high pressure cleaner etc. Just want to get the oil/carbon build up off them.

me and a mate used Gasket Stripper from CRC on his ecotec inlet manifold, foams up for a bit then when just hosed it off, was good for the places we couldn't get with kero or carby cleaner earlier.

its a bit more expensive than most other things from memory but worked much better than we guessed it would lol

Thanks, i might give that a go on the weekend.

Another quick question, whats the stock rating of the 304 injectors? Ive been told to get some LS1 injectors that are 24lb to put on the 355. Dose anyone know if these are these are a stright fit?

be very careful with oven cleaner, most oven cleaners contain costic which dissolves aluminium

Yeah engine shop is correct you cant cvemichally clean alloy hydrochloric acid eats it away.

Bead balsting after a good clean can help get rid of stubborn stuff wont reach all way through runners but should get a fair bit

    Lol. Just checking

How about lots of coke (as in cola)
I've used it to dissolve gun powder (cleaning a cap gun) so it might do your manifold justice...

    Just a thought....

I cleaned my Walky manifold with a bead blaster, came up a treat. Runners are like new. And yes the blue tops (ls1) swap straight over. U need these for a 355!
