    Default GM Replacement Engines

    Hey all
In my day dreaming I was thinking about stroking the 5L but I remembered that when I got it registered the mech who did the inspection said I had a different engine number to what the vin had. So I looked it up and the engine I have is a SU while the standard vs block was VU.

Now my question is if the standard vs block (VU) could take the stroker crank without the machining would the replacement (SU) be able to as well? Bare in mind that the list states that there isn't any difference between model it just says vn to vs series 3 for both.

I'll also put a shameless plug for the thread I started in vr-vs that should have been here about my lifter problem.

    cheers
