    Default blowen 253?

ive got my hands on a 3/71 blower with 4 barrel adapter and all the pulleys, would this suit my 253 with 308 heads or would i destroy the motor? ive heard the crank could snap easily? would i be able to just bolt it on or to much money and work involved? cheers

I've turbo'ed stock 253 and 308 engine no worries, stay sensible and good tuning, retension the cylinder heads before you start.

3x71 = 213ci smaller than your motor capacity but it still might work if you overdrive the #### out of it

You'd be doing well to snap a crank, I'd imagine something else would give first.

Nuthin if you draw through, you will need to manage the ignition timing, boost retard.

On a Buget, weld up the mechanical advance, start around 15 degrees static (also total) and fit the blower.

have been offered a swap for a tunnel ram setup for 308, is this worth a straight swap?

I'd go the tunnel ram...that's just me tho. Rekon those manifolds go for about $1000-$1500, sometimes can find them cheaper if ur lucky.

I'd mabye swap the blower set up for a DECENT manifold and carb (if the blower definately won't fit that is), unfortunately, a tunnel ram isn't a decent manifold (for a street car). If you're going to have a hole in your bonnet, make it for a blower.
