    Default VT or VS motor??

    Hi all,

I have a 2000 model vs series 111 5.0 litre ute and am about to purchase some mods for it but need to know whether i need to order mods to suit a vs ute or to suit a vt motor? I read some threads that mention 2000 model utes that come standard with the vt 5.0 litre motor? If anyone can help me here that would be greatly appreciated.

Mate you have a roller cam motor as fitted to the VT before they went Gen 111. Only series 111 VS utes got that motor. You can confirm this by checking that you are running a MAF between airbox and throttle body.

With the roller cam set up you can run solid lifter/cam set up but you loose about 20-25 kw due to the the duration the cam lobs opening and closing the valves.
