    Default Torque power - low rise dual plane manifold

    Ok after doing my head in reading everything on this site and others and not knowing where to spend my money or what on i have semi decided to go with this set-up instead of wasting cash on a CAI and bored TB and a tune etc

    From my reading this is the best bang for buck manifold on a 304 with the aspirations of doing more work, i have pacemaker extractors with mandrel 3" exhaust single cat, a crow cam and from the receipts it is part number 4770 was told its just a slightly bigger cam than stock, other than that everything i know of is stock standard as i purchased the car with the work already done and a stack of receipts in the glove box.

    So here come the questions.

    Is this the best manifold for a near stock 304 other than the stock bannanas, if not what is i see harrop, come and edelbrock all make similar manifolds.

    I understand i need a 1000 CFM throttle body, is there any need to go bigger or smaller?

    Can i possibly make this fit under my bonnet, i see low profile 1000cfm TB's that are only 40mm high from EFI hardware if used with a low profile/dropped filter could it happen?

    Any problems that occur with this type of set up.

    And where to call to get this stuff at the right price or does anyone have or know anyone wanting to sell this set-up, from what i have researched i can get this fitted and running for under 2k brand new minus the tune but second hand cheapies are always great !

    And if it is possible to fit it in under the bonnet would it be smart to make a custom OTR air tray to feed it some cold air, or are there better alternatives.

    Something i completely overlooked, ive sent a PM to them about total height, from looks it seems around the 70mm mark, but still unsure even with the 40mm if it would even fit.

    Beside the height issue is the TB suitable, it appears to be what i need unlike the cheap procomp ones that come without Idle control and TP sensor.

    Ill order the mani next week fit it and measure from there, regardless of wether it fits under the bonnet or not i will be going this route, but i would still prefer a hole free bonnet due to the local enforcement giving me a hard time.
