Default Green top injectors on standard computer

    Hey all,

I need to find out if I can run the engine with the green top injectors without the computer being re-mapped or tuned.

    Cheers in advance.

If you can justify green top injectors then you have a vastly different than stock motor which I wouldn't run on a stock tune.
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.

^^^^^ That one. Just dumping more fuel into your motor won't make your car go any faster - more than likely it will run slower plus use more fuel to boot. A standard or even bolt on 5 litre is not going to run out of fuel on the standard setup.

Nah have done engine work and supercharged it. I want to put them in before the tuner gets it but still need the car to run.

It may get you to the tuners but I would be driving very slowly and probably leave the blower belt off aswell. That is assuming the cam is dialed in properly. What have you done to the motor besides the blower?

you should be able to calculate what sized injectors you will need and work from there. I'd consider trailering the car to wherever or drive *very* carefully.

I need to run the cam in first an make sure everything is in working order. No leaks, etc. I will be towing it there, don't worry lol.

I am no injector expert, but what are the green tops? My daughters 355 is running XR6turbo injectors. I have been told by the tuner that Magna injectors used to be the go, but now use the Ford ones due to availability.

    Yeah $550 sounds about right.

Yeah the Magna ones were the go a few years back.

Magna injectors are only about 24lb and the green tops are 42lb and support 500hp+ in a V8. Not all motors are the same though despite the same cubes the average 355 stroker will not justify a set of green tops. The smaller the injector you can run the nicer the tune will be.

Yep,getting very popular,29lb injectors and 6 of them were enough to make 280rwkw on my BA before I upgraded.

I have 6 here if anyone wants them, postage only.
