Does anyone know if running constant 3.0bar fuel pressure will destroy a standard fuel pump been through one pump and now symptoms of another after a month or two, bouncing fuel pressure and loosing pressure under high revs, also get hard bubbling in the tank after i switch the car off????
Have you checked the actual fuel rail pressure?
Factory reg runs @ 43psi (3 bar)
get under the car and check the hard lines for damage, the feed line may be crimped causing excess pressure at the pump. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Hi reading was taken from the AFPR about a foot away from the rail return at 45psi, drops to like 20 something when you give it a hard rev, and the fuel filter has had about 8 tanks through it maybe 3 months old, no signs of damage to hard lines that i can see. lost fuel pressure and died the other night and no pump, came out next day and bingo pump back, my engine combo gives me 90kpa on idle so that's why i went the AFPR Cheers
??????????????
Ok when for a drive again today and gave it a hit and pulled all the way than slowed down to take a turn a straightened up and car died pulled over and turned ignition off, turned back on fired right up done it a few times.
Can some one tell if running constant pressure of 43psi will kill my pump
if ya motor is stock then run standard spec fuel pressure as noted above! if the pump cant maintain its pressure then its cactus-providing all the fuel lines and rail is faultless. change out the existing pump and compare the differences
OK thanks, Not stock, Just another thought on why my pumps are going, If i have reduced the return flow to the tank (constant 3bar) than does that mean my swirl pot is not getting an good volume of fuel under a set level causing the things to die early
OK now i'm not sure if its the pump or ignition it keeps dieing after a hard rev then starts right back up most of the time, but upon searching under the bonnet i touched my ignition module on the removable cap in the center and the ####er shocked me, could this indeed be the culprit to my problem..
