Default Loss of power + Plus noise

    Hi All,

Driving home today started to get some issue with the engine(or in that area)

I have a 308 High comp carby engine.

Taking off from 1st there is a lack of power, kinda feel like when your in 4th or 5th and put your foot down it takes a while to respond, but is happening from the get go.

There is also a noise that started at the same time when the revs get over 3000rpm I can here a secondary noise over the engine... the only way I can describe it is like when your engine fans kick in on a hot day.. sounds like that but it is not the fans... it mirrors the engine revs with maybe a 1/2 second delay.. Hope that all makes sense..

But yeah not good she sounds and goes pretty unwell..

    Any ideas???

Ok.... so apparently it's an exhaust leak around the extractors somewhere... sounds like a little irish Leprachaun is under there with a hand dryer whenever the engine is under compression.

Hope this isn't gunna be a costly exercise
