I have a ve ute and want to put a growler OTRCAI on it are they any good? Also the growler is mafless and I have been told that by WA law if your car comes out the factory with a Maf it has to have it? So in relation with the growler if I was the cut the y pipe shorter and add clamp the Maf in there would that work and still give the amount of gains as it being mafless?
Another question I was told that the Maf in the ve is good to about 500wrkw is this true?

the other thing you can do is gut the crap out of the maf get a mafless tune then add the maf in for looks

Removing MAF breaches emissions law but people remove it anyhow. An engineer could certify that emissions is still being passed when mafless, but I don't know anyone whose done that.

It's about 20 or 30 rwkw to get otrcai and tune.

If I was to fit the OTRCAIwith the Maf would I need to get a tune straight away or could I wait till I put extractors on?

I'm no expert. What I've read is this: mafless needs tune right away. MAF on, you can tune whenever, but need tune to get performance.
