Vx ss cam package

I have just bought a series 2 vx ss and im wanting to put a cam in it
i have been quoted $3600 for a 232/234 cam package that includes a tune

Does anyone know roughly how much power this will put out?
and if this would be the right one to go for a auto?
car has extractors 3" exhaust and cold air intake

you will need a stall convertor with that size cam and that's another grand give or take

you'd be looking anywhere from 260rwkw - 280rwkw

if i was you i would save a bit more money so you can put a stall convertor in and go a bigger cam.... also you gonna destroy your auto in no time with 260+rwkw so save a bit of coin to spent on gettin ya gearbox tuff first or its going to cause you one big headache.... trust me ive done all this work to my VX SS

What size stall converter did you go with mate? And did you get a shift kit to go with it. Thanks heaps btw

i got a 3,000 stall convertor but ya cant even notice it when ya driving slow through town and stuff

as for the trans i spent about $3,500 building one that can handle about 800-1000hp... its worth the money if ya got it it feels unreal hitting the rev limiter shifting into 2nd in a auto

Sounds like a plan then will I need better heads to get a even bigger cam?

yeah the bigger the cam the more head work you need to bget the best flow.. different cams will need different shaped ports to get them flowing right
