the crank spigot holes are different sizes from trimatic to turbo. early VB's and whatnot came out with T400's so if you use an efi block then use a 400 and the trans mount/tailshaft from that, otherwise just use the traumatic behind your 308 block. i had my traumatic build with better clutches etc and it help up againt my daily punishment really well.

also: stock VN heads will hit 150 no probs, you wont even need a really big cam or stally. itll be a nice streeter. ol skool heads will mean you have to go a bit more nasty with everything and it starts to become a pig to drive around town.

cheer syea im not keen on a pig, just after a grunty cruiser...

seems it might just be easier to do a head swap after all.

    will easily get that.
I managed 186rwkw with those mods and the factory EFI intake. Stock VN heads and very mild cam.
with the twin throttles that figure increased to 206rwkw

So yeah 150rwkw should be easily achievable, even with a carb
