Thats exactly what happens here, but people don't spend their life sitting at a computer waiting for people to post their problems. I'm sure you will get a constructive answer tonight, but it won't be in the first 10 minutes.

    ok, constuctive post:

undo pan bolts and drain fluid
    undo the inspection plate
undo the 3 torque converter bolts and slide the torque converter all the way towards the transmission
undo tailshaft bolts (and center bearing holder) remove tailshaft (remember to put a oil pan under the spline cos a shit tonne of fluid will come out)
undo linkage from the passenger side of the transmission
at some stage you will need to undo the cooler lines, depends on your car, mine needs to be done from the radiator and comes off with the trans.
undo the transmission mount bolts and support the nose of the trans somehow (additional jack, blocks of wood, transmission stand, whatever)
undo the 7 bolts around the housing. 2 on the drivers side, 2 on the passnger, one at the top and one staggered each side down.

with the transmission thoroughly supported rock it up and down side to side until the locating pins on both sides work loose.
then its just a case of lowering it out.

i may have missed a stage or 3, so sue me.

I'll give you a tip, let someone who has a hoist do the job for you. These are big, heavy transmissions and not the sort of thing a beginner would want to be doing in their drive way at home with just a trolley jack (assuming you even have a trolley jack...).
