Crowcam packages for 5L

Hay.. just wondering what all use think of them crow cam efi packages??? Any good? i no crane is beta n prob the way to go but i can get the stage 3 crow kit for $700. Use rekon thats good kw's for the price. CCK503 Stage 3 Kit. Improved Top End Power High Performance kit.

KIT CONTAINS STAGE 3 CAMSHAFT, MEMCAL, LIFTERS, SPRINGS, RETAINERS and COLLETS
Must be used in conjunction with PowerPack exhaust system and Blueprinted Cylinder Heads for maximum performance. This package provides a maximum power gain of 35% through the range 2000 rpm to 6500 rpm. Despite the excellent high performance characteristics of this package the engine remains tractable and responsive at low speed. Standard toque converter can be used on auto trans vehicles.

Atm my vp ss is pritty much stock in power wise.. Just pacemaker extractors twin system. K&N pannel filter, HDT cold air intake, stage 2 shift kit. I would also be gettin my heads ported and decked to up the compression. 2500 hi stall and 3.55 diff gears and a set of roller rockers to go with that package. Let me no what use think. James

will be bloody brilliant mate ive done the same kinda work on my heads to suit the stage 3 cam and let me tell you it is definately worth the money

oh and with raising the compression.....make sure you get the valve seats looked at because with age they tend to get a little shabby....i hope you have alot of dosh$$$ to pay for the head work though

lol, got nothing else to spend money on, get lots n lots of help from my work, one of the guys there has been an engine builder for 4 years now. We were gonna strip the whole motor and get a acl rebuild kit get everything balanced etc maby even stroker kit from come but thats gonna take a bit to much money outer my pocket. im only 16 my vp is my first v8, n got a lil daihatsu mira 3 cylinder lol but yeh. ill start off wid that stuff i mentioned befor. Should be more than enough power for some one who dun even have there licence yet. ha ha hurry up april

whats the quality like from crow?

I was looking at a stage 2 Crow Cam kit for a 5L and I got quoted $885 + labour. If I was you, I'd save and get a blower or stroke it
