    Default Gremlin..

    Well, it didn't take long for the Gremlins to come out.....

    This car has a Remote start system, and yeserday, my Battery light decided to stay on, I checked the alternator with a Multimeter, and it is charging, so what could it be?? I have checked all connections, and they are all good, the reason I mention the remote start, is that since this light came on, when you start it, and the car runs, the system thinks it is not running due to the light being on, and the starter motor fires again while the car is running...Ouch..!! It actaully tries 6 times before it re sets..... you can imagine the teeth......
    What do you think it could be?? Alternator has internal Reg, and all wires are connected, Not sure what else to check!!

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Default New system!!

    Well, It didn't take long for me to start searching for more power....
    Ended up adding a Crane 286, HEI Dizzy, Single Plane Manifold, 4 Barrel Mixer and new LPG Converter......Anyway, Now, my Dyno man tells me, the exhaust I just had done is restrictive, and Holding it back above 5000rpm......

    Anyway, Car goes in Tomorrow for twin 2.5" system, 2 straight through mufflers, Merging at the rear to a 4" Tail pipe......Apparently will sound awesome, and allow enough flow for the 286 to work all the way to 6200rpm.....

    I will pop in on the rollers after it is fitted, and see what advantage it made....

    4" tail pipe! MASSIVE....
    Should sound tuff as.
    I just drove passed it before parked out front, was gonna give ya a honk but i forgot lol

    Don't have room past the gas tank for twins, plus I hate the clapping sound a full twin system makes.....

    It's done, and Man it does sound good, and yes it has picked up a heap of power!! especially down low!!

    I didn't run it on the rollers, as the money to do that can pay for the gasket set to do Cam Timing....

    My Dizzy is hitting full advance at 3000rpm, so I am going to change a few springs, and bring in on a little earlier and quicker for the gas.....

    My God this thing is so fun to drive!!

    Yeh, ended up with 3.5" as 4 wouldn't fit past the tank...lol...

    Honk, yeh it happens all day....
    It's lookin a bit bare atm, no front or rear Bar, no driving lights, rear wheel carrier etc. etc.... as soon as Ive finished playing under the hood it will all get a fresh lick of paint and be put back on...
