yeah mate, thieves suck ass big time. my SLE passenger door lock looks the samethank **** the alarm scared em off.
i'll do the same with my passenger door but i'm a little reluctant to do the same with the drivers door, should i ever suffer from a flat battery it's gonna be hard to open. maybe some solex locks for the drivers door and boot for me.

well i been driving the missus car for the past few weeks cos' the fuel economy is far far better, so the battery went flat in this one. but even still its weird that the idiot didnt notice the flashing indicators and think, hmmm that shouldnt be doing that.
anyway, i have a plan. i am gonna wire in tao 'jump points' similar to a porsche. hide them somewhere, like in the boot or under the car and when you feed them 12+ the doors will pop open.
LOL you sound like u dont even care!
next time he goes to break into it hell be like wtf where has the lock gone and be full confused
shaved locks look sick do mineeee?
whered u get ur centeral locking kit form?
i want to get one is it a hard job?

wow, ok question time in the lobby:
1. no i wont to yours, i seen the work you get done and itll be better than what i can do
2. central locking kit was from jaycar, all up with the alarm i think around 200 bucks
3. is it a hard job? not really. took 2 days all up but that included the alarm install which i took my time with and ran loads of dummy wires, black and red colour coded cables and crap all over the place to confuse anyone trying to steal it.
4. i am gonna sell the whole car, but i thought it best to fix the locks in case f' head tries to steal it again in the meantime. all monies will be donated to the "save my impala" fund.
5. i was thinking of running a single wire to the central locking actualtor in the rear door. basically hide two screws somewhere under the sill so when you put + and - to the two screws the back door would pop open, then you could open the rest up.
Hmmmm, i'd like to get my hands on your 2500 stally. shame i'm in NZ

lol nice mate! that will **** em! il be doin it eventually! hey heres one for ya..... shaved door handles?
lol, cant be bothered doing anymore work to it. its on ebay, hopefully itll sell. if not, then i guess i am stuck with it.
the impala needs to be my focus fr all things panel-work. after thats driving and i have moved house i will park up the commo, find a VH sle body, swap all my bits onto that and scap this car.
owning a modified 308 is more trouble than its worth![]()
you can get a 308 to work, just go to a bigger cam and a torque-power high rise dual plane manifold. then whack that holley on it and she'll be real lively.
one of these 2 maybe...

^^ Bigger cam probably not such a good idea when the heads aren't even really good enough for the cam he's got...IMO, he'd be much better off in the long run just converting to VN heads (and mabye adding some more cubes at the same time wouldn't hurt either)
didnt realise there were new posts on here.
yah im looking at head upgrades at the moment, still not interested in VN heads or strokers though. i know you will all roll your eyes, but i want to get power out of the old style heads. looking at a set of yella terras cos' some of them have 1.6 and 2.02 valves, or there is a set of "perkins race heads" (lol, im not interested cos it says the word "race" im keen cos in the pics there is no egr crossover, but has two bolt holes to suit VK black) the guy wants a bit much for them, so hopefully they wont sell for a while.

moving house, THEN work on the impala THEN i can play commydoores.
wanna get 165RWKW. thats my target. im not greedy, thats what i will be happy with, then take all my bits off this car and transplant into a good condition VH shell. (if i ever find one)
lol, all i have done to the poor girl is driven her into the ground... i do have plans though but the impala comes first for everything.
plans are:
matte black, highly polish the SLE rims or maybe flip them for a set of 8 inch stockies.
rip the heads off, clean up some areas i f'd up when i had a go at the ports, maybe buy some yellas if people on ebay would stop thinking they are worth 900 bucks used
repair the god damn rear main seal (again)
prolly the biggest problem i spotted recently was the 'Y' pipe on the exhaust has been FRYING right in the center of it. you can see good condition paint all over the exhaust till it gets to the y pipe, and in the very center there is a ring of rust where it has obviously been heating up. plan is to grab a magna flow y pipe off my supplier and cut this crappy one off. hopefully the ex has been restricting flow and had an impact on my dyno sheet.
im suprised the hp levels are so low considering all the work youve dont to the 308. it makes me worried that mines not putting out a lot now! so hows progress going with the vk? still planning on selling the vk and dropping the 308 in a vh?
yeah absolutley. i bought the VK knowing it had a lot of rust and was only meant to be a very short term ride, but then i got modding and then grew attachedso i need a new body. im not going through the rust repairs i did with the impala on a crappy VK, so eventually i will find a nice example of a 6cylinder VH and swap all my gear into it.
the HP figures are about average for cast heads. i have been told by a very reputable source that 160rwkw is about all you can expect from mild mods to the head, even 'all-out' porting will only bring you up around the 200RWKW mark. i am happy with it anyway. it may be low, but you gotta remember than a VK is a lot lighter than a VN, and weight makes all the difference.
ah yeah definately, thats one of the reasons why i wanted to get rid of my vs for an early gen, for the lighter shell
i have a vh sle original 308 auto all power windows work clean as interior no rust or there's a little hidden but you cant have it. oi ari you remember that diff you sold me that was my second on to my 5th now strapped a vn diff in there killed a center so i thought may as well spool it seems to be holding
the yellow one i have but im not really willing to part with it not yet wanna get my datsun 1200 on the road for my run around first then might think about it.
Or i know of another vh wants quite a bit for it but its had the works done to it. Doesn't come with motor or gearbox think he was saying 5500 to 6000 for his vh its blue and prob the best your ever gonna buy ill tell you all the specs of it if ur interested ps no motor or gearbox (its a chev 383 stroker 500hp with a t56)
