I haven't seen your car but I assume you had a heap of holes needing welding up. Good finish there. I have a 150 amp mig welder and it's a good tool to have in the workshop.
G'day guys, just a small updated. I've taught my self how to use a mig weld.
I think i didn't do a bad job. For a person who works in a vineyard. I'm takin' my time with this car, I don't want to stuff it up. What do you guys think? Cheers Jason

Thank mate for your reply. There was a few holes, where the a/c runs. Also the where the tags are. but, I give it a go, first time using a mig. I hav fun doing it. Had, a mate show me what to do, and of i went. I have more mig welding to do. It's in the fuel flap. Cause it had duel fuel in it. Cheers Jason

hi again guys, this weekend me and the ol' man will be lowering the front end of the car. I've change my mind again, lol, My missus and myself we have agreed to put a EFI V8 in the beast, along with a new cam, extractors, st8 cuts. Thats whats going on with the vk... Cheers Jason

Hi guys, i'm getting the driver seat, and back seat fix's up too. It going to cost me $300. And at the end of this month, We are getting the fuel flap fix's up and the small holes fill up too. They are going to finish off the engine bay too, So i can have a smooth engine bay.

gday mate thanks for that, just finish the car today. I repair the engine bay on i also did the boot. It had duel fuel in the car, they cut into the fuel flap area. And, there was couple holes to fill up so i did that too. When the weather warms up i will paint it, We should have it running soon. I've also lowered too, interior done as well. cheers Jason![]()

Gday all again....lol.... I've take some more photos of the beast today..Over the few weeks i've brought some stuff for the car, like Procomp Dizzy, Pacemakers extrac comp, battery boxes as well. Had the back seat repaired too. My frt bumper bar the middle section has been removed. I have finished the rust workCan't wait to drive the VK....It getting close now.....Cheers Jason

I also check the ride height on the rear end, and could get 1 1/2 fingers in between the tyre and the guard....Now i only can get 1 finger in. Keep you update with the engine soon!!! Cheers Jason

Gday all, Yesterday i went to a engine builder. I told him what i want, he said " Anything over 400hp I'll be looking at $1000 for every 10hp". Is this right? I though Shit, and then he said that i'll would be better off going with same spec's as the brocks ( i love the brocks!!), It's going to cost me 270hp and 420nm of torque for $5000. Does this sound right or am I been rip off.....Cheers Jason

2 words 383 stroker = $8000 or 355 stroker = $6000 = alot more power than a brock
thanks v8commy!! the motor standard stroke. i don't want go stroker because i like to be different, he also told me that my procomp won't work with the camshaft cause, the cog on the of the dizzy is to big for the camshft and the hole also. The hole only needs to go out 2mm i think. It's not much anyway. And, the camshaft he suggest to me was a solid roller with .530" lift. that if want to go with 500hp. I'm totally confused. On want he said to me. The engine builder is base in Horsham....cheers Jason

Cool thanks for your help v8commy. I just brought a holden V8. The bloke did motor up had spent $2500 on this engine i'm getting it for $800, it has edlerbrock manifold, running a strong cam, procomp dizzy, heads have been done up too. flat tops pistons at .030", it was in A9X Torona. And the motor is brand spankin new too. I can't wait to pick it up. Cheers Jason
