just thought i'd share my project to build up for my P-Plates with you.

it is currently a green vk vacationer

Model: 12/84 VK Commodore Vacationer
Engine: 202, Black, Carbed
Colour: Green/blue
Rims: 17's with dead tires, so 14'' Stockies for now
Km's: 317xxx (genuine)
Mods: Exhaust (was told it had Gene Extractors, 2 1/2" Mild steel and a Lukey Muffler
Transmission: Trimatic

UPDATE

ok, stripped out the inside of the car on the so i can replace various bits and pieces, and also put the battery in the boot when i get the money for wiring. also i took some pictures of the car, engine, inside of the car and so on.

little update. got some audio gear

this weekend i got the following:

Engine/Driveline:
• Black 202 injected or Injected 5L
• 2.5” mild steel exhaust (throaty) (DONE)
• 4 speed manual (202), 5 speed (V8)
• LSD (maybe Vl turbo)
• Cold air intake
• 81oc thermostat
• Alloy Radiator
• K&N Filter
Interior:
• VZ SS front bucket seats in front and back or Cream leather racing seats
• Interior bone/cream with red highlights
• Pioneer Double Din stereo with 7” touchscreen, GPS, DVD etc…
• Rear headrest screens
• Focal 6” speakers 2x with tweeters, 2x without tweeters, 2x Focal 13” Subwoofers with 4 channel amps in custom made boxes
• Custom dash using Autometer gauges
• Battery in boot
• Woodgrain steering wheel

• Whole car painted in undecided colour (maybe black)
Rolling Stock
• VT disk brakes + Callipers painted red
• 17” – 19” Rims (bought 17's)

Good plan, but you can't put a V6 in a brock replica, it's against the law.

Its not against the law at all. It is illegal if you don't get it engineered. But providing you fit cat converters and the proper pollution gear, all will be good.

Would a Nissan Turbo 6 be ok? Since he made them. What about a Ford straight 6? He made them too.......

Yeah I understand that it wouldn't be right with a v6, but he only has that option because he will be restricted by his licence..In my opinion, it would be too hard and a waste of money, better off just making it a nice cruiser, something that will hold off till you get your full licence.

Personally, if i was doing a brock replica, it would be V8 all the way.

Its not that hard to do a V6 conversion nowadays. I did mine for less than $1500 (including buying the donor VN Exec with a V6 and 5 speed )

yer.. im only gonna have the 6 in it untill in on my gold licence then im dropping a 308 into it straight away. its not gonna be exact SPEC as its gonna have different rims, exhaust and interour so yer.

but it will look sick me turning up 2 school in a brock commodore

I think you need to do some more history lessons on the HDT. I suspect you want to do a Group C replica (not a Group A) young fella, although the specs you listed in your initial thread do not resemble a single feature of the original Group C race car.

thanks.. i have been reading up on the Specs on it and i know this is a group c. read my other threads and youll see. this was when i first started on here i made this.

and also my parents want me to get a little 4 pot barina so i dont think they will be helping with it.

i hate the stupid laws.. the 5l is going in the day i get my full licence. but i think ive found a way around them. if you buy a v8 before the laws come in then you can drive ANY v8 on p's. so what the recipt says goes (as long as its unreg and i get it reg on my p's)

I worked 3 jobs while i was still at school. Quite doable if the person wants to work
