Bought this in October 2009 and it hadn't run in 2 years - I had 10 days from day of purchase till I had to take it on a 1000km roadtrip..

Day 1 - I organised transport from Auckland after payment..

Day 2 - Ordered some parts I knew I would need like lowered suspension and wheels..

Day 3 - day - It arrived and I had it checked for a WOF (roadworthy cert)

Day 3 - night - Took it back to my workshop and began on the list of WOF repairs

Day 4 - Day 7 - Continued with WOF repairs, lowered it and got it running on all 4 cylinders of its starfireness ()

Day 8 - Took it back for a WOF Recheck and Wheel Alignment - they told me a tie rod end was now stuffed and part was overnight... nervous times ensued as I hadn't driven it more than 35km since purchasing it and I was leaving in 2 days..

Day 9 - Parts arrived and it was roadworthy - drove to the post shop to register it and I came out to find I had been given a ticket for no registration - fark.. Took it for a quick 50km drive and was happy with it.. Got home to find wheels had arrived - fitted them and felt much better..

Packed Bags and had an early night after mega thrash for last few days..

Day 10 - Left for roadtrip - car overheated within 40km of home - topped up water - filled up the fuel tank to the brim and all the breather lines were split from dry and age - leaked half of Kuwait onto the forecourt.. did quick fix on main leak and it stopped leaking the 3/4 full mark.. (note to self don't fill fuel above 3/4) Car overheated again and engine began knocking about 150km into trip - thought fark it, I have a tow rope and I'm replacing motor anyway so kept on trucking.. Made it there and back with a badly knocking engine and began the search for a replacement 202..

2 weeks later a good red 202 arrived and install began..

that was a pretty standard swapout and now have a great running car with incredible power (torque is amazing with 3.9 diff :-) )

Will update more when I have more time - right now its Friday and I am going to go get drunk..

    HQ in the background -

I'm building a 350hp SBC for it - motor and T5 is actually sitting it now and just saving money for little bits and pieces like gear reduction starter making a driveshaft and exhaust etc

    Funny Face -

the one on top of the car is me - I was just drunk and playing air guitar during motor install..
the guy down the side with the funny face - he was born like that (retarded) haha

Bought a donor car for some front end parts - but the rego is dead on it and the sills are rusty - nearly everything else is super sweet though...

a couple of pics - going to be selling a whole lot of spare parts sometime soon..
