ok ive had this car for a few months now. only recently decided to post a thread.
long story short i brought it for 600, and ive nearly sold it about 4times but i keep changing my mind!
the colour of it is a bit.. eh but it has grown on me,
all the rust will be cut out then the back end is fixed....
please let me know what u think
what is it: efi vk 6cyl
Mods: none really, just debadged/removed pinstriping, installed a sterio..
wheels: interceptors or 5spokes(star rims)
what i wanna do..
fix boot and rear quater, and pait it all up
repaint the bumpers and do the calais style sides
shave passanger side and boot locks
Tint windows
Lower it
spool it
and eventually get a manual conversion

lower it and make the windoews ****ing dark it should be alrite
because its running beautiful at the moment

I couldnt find a template so i made my own

I have a spare set of the vk calais lower door trim complete with the dog leg and parts that fit the front guards so thats all 8 calais molds they just need to be painted silver to match your car as they are green in colour atm in quite good condition. $120 if your interested pm me if so. Also have a efi 3.3ltr motor done 295K still went well come with a auto trans that has seen better days but might come good with a service. If you wanted them for spares $150 for the pair. pm if interested cheers steve.

i was gona get plugs and leads but i alredy got high profrmance leads and i dunno what type of plugs? what plugs works good for everyone?
also getting a service and a tune soon..

How much of the kit do you have?

Im pretty sure the lougs would be the same, if you like i can get the plug brand and numbers i use next weekend, i cant remember them but the box for them are still on my floor, which is occupies by a ton of shit and one seat.

the car is running amazing, no misfire smooth idle. smooth gear change, windows look amazing..

yes thre is texta marks on the car..
that is for the pannel beaters that a removing every dent and respraying the car (in same color)
and 2 toneing it...

but the front and rear will be the same height...

next on the cards is a exhaust and cold air intake..


and someone to look at my wireing/battery...
everytime i go to start the car its flat...
there is either a short.. or the battery isnt charging
or the alternator is not working well..

its far too much work for a 1st car.

changed the feul filter and i swear the car was running of liquid rust
the condition of the shit going thru the filter is grotty as
vkcommo if u havent changed ur leads and fuel filter yet i suggest u do it
it made a huge differnce to my car
it idles smooter runs cleaner
0-100 was done las tnight in the pouring rain so half the time the wheels were spinning.. so i didnt get accurate reading
i forgot the reading anyway

i think my diff is ****ed cos sometime it only spins one and sometimes it spins 2..
time to change the oil in the diff to see if that fix's it
i might just get it welded

Dude, if your fuel filter was really that bad, it might be an idea to drop the tank and take a look inside, just in case, sounds overdue for a good flush out and clean, otherwise your filter is just gunna block up with all that shite again.

Most commodore diff's standard do this, it's because they are supposed to, unless you are sure your diff is a LSD, which I'm guessing most likely not.
Welding up your diff will only f**k it, and/or something else.. :/
And spooling it? What's the point? It's just six, save your money for your drift car, your gunna need it anyways.. lol
btw, I like drifting too, so screw those who don't..

so should be good onw
besides right now its runninglike new, i think ive completly transfromd it and the last time it was driven was in 1999
(the last service sticker was the same klm as when i picked it up)
lol.. so its got next to no k's

lol.. kewl, but a lot of crap will still be stuck on the sides of the tank, and get caught up in ya filter again..
Best way to be sure is take it out (when its near empty) throw in a few handful's of blue metal stones they tar the roads with, then pick it up and shake the livin' f**k out of it! lol
Trust me, you'd be surprised what comes out of a tank of that age..
