"SH#T the roof is caving in"........ "dont do anything now we'll just do it slowly in the morning" hahahahahaha
Very nice. My old boy got a pov model VC not long ago with 48000 on it. I have a VK 5 speed box I will be offloading at some point if you're interested. I'm in Brisbane though.
Look forward to seeing some progress pics!
sounds like a good pick up no doof. i havent done anything to the old girl yet (been pretty poor and busy doing an apprenticeship) but im happy with how shes going. how much do you want for the g/box? do you have the rest of what is needed for a conversion? im getting her painted sometime soon for 1000 and a couple of bottles and tonight have been checking out various mod prices on the internet.. looks like im gonna have to get a second job so i can spend some money on her.

i just bought these... cant wait for them to arrive!!
is this a good deal?
how much power will this add
also.. what else will i need to install them? intake manifold gasket? as you can see it comes with a intake manifold too! will the exhaust system fit straight onto the vh ? ill put up photos of the install.. maybe videos after it also
^^ looks like a good deal on the carbs & extractors, if they are all in good condition
triple SU's work well on a 202, probably one of the best carb setups you can have on a 202.
just a bit of pre-warning though, you'll more than likely need to balance them once they are fitted to the engine. Best way is to us a bubble/vacuum gauge to balance.
have a look at the adjustment section of the link below, it's a fairly good explanation
SU Carburettors - Holdenpaedia
hey mate not too burst your bubble and i am by no means any expert. but those carbs are probably to suit a red motor(202) with 9 port head , and technically a vh should have a blue motor(3.3) 12 port head so the manifold wont fit unless you put an older motor in. could be wrong as i am only 18 . so feel free to correct me
Manifolds
hey mate this manifold looks like this one^^ the R1268 in the holden section the 11th on from the top says its to suit a red 9 port head with 3 x 1 3/4 in su's see what anyone else reckons . thats a good starting point too. clean as car i have a vh wagon similar colour, an interior to yours i just bought a few weeks ago.will post some pics tommorow check it out . mines on 19's but![]()
The ebay add does say suit VB they were a red motor. Tripple SU's/CD Strombergs are more for the 9 port heads, 12 ports run ALOT better with tripple webbers. Even the extractors will prolly need a bit of modding to fit your head. If you have the blue/black 12 port motor.
hey mate how did you go with that manifold
how did it go mate, i think you will find the ports are different ie the inlet will be squarish and the head more rectangular?
thats good, tell us how it goes after you get it tuned and drive it
ok so i have driven it today for the first time for around a month or so... i am stoked with it. it use to struggle to get to 100 and start shaking at around 95 but now it gets there [and beyond] as though i was driving 60kph. havent got the chance to take it on the highway yet but i will probably do that tonight.. havent got it tuned properly yet either but that can be done at a later date.. just stoked its going. one problem i have noticed [which freaked me out at first] is when i drive the fuel gauge goes straight to empty then when i stop it goes back up.. any ideas why?
