i'm new here, i thought i might put up a few shots of my calais.
Not bad mate! Any specs on it? I like the look of the reverse cowl scoops but only when they're fully finished on the bonnet and not added on like yours is, sorry!

yeh mate we put that on for rego i know looks bodgie but keeps the boys in blue happy.
here are some specs vn heads, crane 286 cam, rollers, msd 6al, 10mm leads, double row timing chain, fake torque power high rise manifold,( yeah i know) 750 dp race series holley, bottom end balanced 8yr ago that we know off still standard stroke we only put the top end together 12 months ago have a new bottom end going in soon keeping it standard stroke. paccies into twin 3 inch pipes dumped at the diff with twin 2.5 inch pipes out the rear. 3000 stall soon to be 3800, trimatic spooled 4.11's. it gone 13.4 @ 103mph 1.9 60ft on and off the throttle wheel spinning.

it's been 12 months since i've updated this heres a couple of recent pics of the calais. i've also put in the 3800 converter a b&m quiksilver shifter replaced all the suspension and a 28 spline 4.11 lsd. i'm also about to put a fuel cell in the boot and redo the exhaust so it exits under the number plate and then we are removing the exhaust cut out in the bumper should look good when it's done.
looks either to high in the front or to low in the back. Nice looking vk calais 5L tho

i have had it dynoed and that was on a dyno day with another club it made 177 rwkw. it was pissing water out the thermastat so i don't think they revved it hard. plus other cars on the day where down about 20rwkw on the day. and thats cars that where tuned at that shop.
the calais has gone quiker 13.1 1.9 60 ft 104 mph still wheel spinning. so now on the 9th of april heading down with some et streets to run into the twelves.
Ah nice mate. My motor was similar to urs except with a smaller cam, stock electrical system, bosch leads, and a 750 vac sec. Made 174rwkw and still leaning out a bit. Chucked a 750 dp and bigger fuel pump on there but killed the motor b4 we got it back on the dyno lol. It's good to see another motor with similar specs making similar power. At first I thought sumfin wasn't right coz I was aiming for 150rwkw and didn't even think it would get that! lol.

Update went to the drags Saturday night and run a new pb 12.8 @ 105.1 1.8 60ft. Unfortunately killed the gearbox so if there is anybody in Brisbane with a spare trimatic lying around send me a pm. I'll put some pics soon.
