its comletely standard!
aint even got mags on it lol and still a tape deck!
had alot of engine trouble right from the start! got it for 1000 bucks
it made it 10 mins from the cars dealership! (stay away from kerry garner! she a dodgy b*%#@ch. in lonsdale adelaide)
anyways just thought id put up some pics of her standard and a couple of my first vk which i crashed!

ok thats the new project car! il put up a couple of my old vk that i unfortunatly crashed and is gonna get turned into a ute vk.

and just an update on the project! rebuilt the top end and runs smooth for about 3 mins then overheats like a mother****er! pretty sure the oil pomp is ****ed! no lube means lots of friction which means lots of heat which means lots of where which means not good! tips on either fixing or replacing oil pump? aint done one on a 202 yet!![]()
we dont have to warranty anything older than 10 years BTW. so even if you bought it for 1500 there is still no statutory warranty.
anyways i reckon its a good deal. dead engine or no, 1000 bucks and she looks really nice and straight. a really good start. whats the parcel shelf/boot floor/spare wheel well and windscreen scuttle like?
p.s. those rims look aweful, pls dont swap them overtry and get some genuine VK hubcaps
then drop a 300HP 308 in it, full sleeper style! yeah baby.

yea checked the boot and no rust there either. n yea it is dead straight! i know i shouldn be complaining for a grand but all i expected the engine to do was get home lol! it was advertise that it ran well! i cant work on it when its 600ks away lol!
i gonna put some old school mags on it and make it look really sweet. not doin too much to the engine straight away. just want somethin lookin smooth to get around in for now! my torana is my sleeper :P stockies and all! the vk is just gonna be a cruiser! well at least till the torana is done! then il be doing a v6 conversion for sure!
hey im pullin the suspention off my pranged vk cos i know its way better then the standard stuff on the new project and noticing that the rubbers are already ****ed! they would only be a couple years old. anyone got suggestions on good quality bushers etc? doin what i can while i wait to get my vk down from adelaide! ****in still not happy got sold a lemon that couldn even make it 10 mins! grrr could have done tones by now!

ok yea sounds good. what sorta price we lookin at? anyone know of a place to get vk calais side garnish? looked on ebay and we lookin at around 45 per piece lol.
what bushes do you need to replace? i know its a lot, but there is a set on ebay which is like.. 300 bucks or something where has every bush in it, but in neolathane. your car will drive zillion times better. even just replacing the sway bar link bushes with neolathane made a huge difference in mine.
they are not cheap though![]()
yea i recon thats the ones my mate was talkin about! i am lookin at the full job! apparently makes ya car handle like a go kart! im not really into lowering my vk cos i like the muscle car look! but i would like to stiffen it up as much as possible! 300 is a dash rich. got any cheaper recomendations? or are they really worth it?

about 10 years ago I got quoted for my old VH to replace all the old rubbers on the car @ pedders and it was $1400 inc fitting! and that was'nt even including any sway bars, springs or shocks! I think it was about $600 or $700 just for the bushes without fitting!
lol yea they would have charger ya like a grand in labour! il be doin it myself! il see what the bank looks like and then consider gettin the set! i still gotta get a new oil pump yet too!
well sent me uncle some money and he changed the oil pump for me recons it runs a dream now! no flat spots or missing, great to handle for its age, not very responsive lol but thats cos he is used to driving his twin turbo ford seira cosworth! il go pick it up sat and drive it home than the fun beggins! :P finally!
back on the bushes thing, most of them you can change yourself, which isno prob. but the castor arms and diff swing arms need to be pressed in. so you wll have to take it somewhere
ok how much force do i need? i modifyed a bench mounted clamp thingy so its got alot of clamping power and i can put a pole on it to really get a fair squeeze out of it! recon this will do? cant remember what i used it for when i fist made it! but i know its got enough strenght to squeeze an average bolt to the point it bends!love to play around with physics!
lol, ok. ive no idea of the exact lbs pressure, but i do know that you can do it with a bottle jack and a couple of pieces of 10mm steel.

lol guess what! i finally got it back from adelaide! lol sat on 50ks comin out throught the hills! and she dont like goin above 80-90 or she drops oil pressure and ya get that dam tickin noise which i cant seem to find! i replaced the hydraulic lifters cos they were ****ed! pulled the sump off and even after flushinf the whole engine 3 times there was still old built up gluggy oil! so cleaned all that out and i managed to drive her the whole way from adelaise to mount gambier! she stil got alot of problems but il get there!![]()
