Yea making it a EFI 304 engine at least, ****ing the 202 EFI off within a few weeks, depends on when morton puts his 202 back in so i can get the engine crane
Selling off the engine and gearbox and stuff and whatever else i don't want to keep off to buy more shit for it
haha and obviously this is my 3rd VK, thus the 3.0![]()
yea if you want to, I'm only selling the box, keeping the pedal box and stuff since i will be re-using it.
Will have to see what I'm selling off in a few weeks.
But rather use Hozy's engine cranethat way it forces Morton to hurry up with the HQ

Dont flood the market with craptacular Holden Straight 6 parts. I got here first :P
lol mine's newer and EFIierand the engine is only partially dead unlike urs

Likewise my engine is only partially dead. It, unlike yours, starts and runs.
It's just the knocking, the banging and the smoke blowing that isnt quite right.
So people...if you want some new fandangled EFI 202 that doesnt work, sure, buy Dirby's clapper motor.
BUT if you want something retro-tech with a bit of old world charm and feel about it, buy mine.
aww dude! can i have your wheels/hubcaps? been looking for stockies for ages.

my geminis
Nice Dirb
here was me thinking you had changed your mind and wanting to put a RB30 in it..
got the trailer booked, bringing it home on Saturday lunch time, week later then planned but shit happens.
VK Commodore SL EFI 202 Curb Weight is 1220kg, but i think that's for an automatic, going to weigh the car with hakhawk's car scales (if the slack **** decides to come down next weekend) to see the proper total weight and distribution of the weight, goal is to have the completed car with the V8 weighing less then it currently does with the 202.
Managed to get the VK up my drivewayhad to tow it up with the clubsport and into the backyard and then push it and turn it round
Ordered my Bonnet strut kit since the bonnet will be sitting up pretty much permanently for the next 4-8 weeks and i don't want the bonnet holder in the way, especially with the engine and gearbox coming out as a single peice.
Going down to the Bilstien Suspension supplier this week to get a price on what the springs and shocks are gonna cost me, probably bout $1500 for the set.
Also managed to pick one of these up from the wreckersi like putting these on my VK's glovebox since they only came on the VH i think other then the HDT version of the VK, i dunno if they were on the VB-VC, not gonna spend $100+ on the HDT VK one though
Starting to gather supplies to begin the body worksstill got a shitload more to buy in the next 2 weeks.
Just need to get my Tarps back up now
![]()
so what are you gonna do to it while you wait til next weekend for me to bring the scales up
Wait, a bonnet strut kit? What on earth for?Aren't you going to be pulling the 202 out? Why not just remove the bonnet? You'll have to remove it to get the engine crane in there anyway
