i am just new to this forum.
This is my VK commodore my miss's got me. I wanted a VK brock but prices are just to expensive for me these days so i am building a replica. I have had it for a year and not done much as yet coz we have a baby, well not a baby anymore, she is a toddling, into everything 1 year old. She was 3 weeks old when my miss's rang me and told me to get off my ass and go out the back because she had something for me and to my suprise it was this rundown, uncared for, battered VK commodore that i had wanted for AGES. This just made my day as 4 days prior i came out of day surgery getting my ingrown toe nails removed.

I had a datsun 180b l18 turbo 1.8Lt which i spent a lot of time and cash on. I just kept cuting rust out of it and when i had enough of the sight of rust i thought it was time for a re think. Then to my suprise my miss's told me we were going to have a baby, so i thought it best, instead of wasting money on it, sell it and go for something a bit better. However, i tried to sell my datsun but had no luck, so i decided to strip it down and made $4700 just in parts which was more that i was asking for the whole car.Trust me never get a datsun. I gave the money to the miss's to get the stuff we needed for my daughter. Off track we went for a bit but now back to the VK.

What i have decided to do to it
engine vn 304 efi v8
gearbox 4 speed auto
diff vn lsd or a 10 bolt lsd
brakes vn or vt bigger
vk group a body kit
full re-spary in white not blue (Which is what i originally wanted)
full re-trim (done myself). Seat, doors, dash, roof, floor, all in leather.
and whatever other things i think of along the way

thank boys the trim is baby sh#t green well i have dun a bit of work to it
a bit over 16 weeks i will post pic to day the only rust is in the boot still have the glass out

sorry and all the doors are rusted but i go 4 Calais doors with power windows and rust free $150

practise run with the interior with vinyl i had in the shed. This is what the trim started to look like

the first engine i got.i payed $550 for it well it was going to cost up to 1000 or more to just get it ready i needed all bolt on stuff and a gearbox so i sold it and made 200 more off it

what it looked like with the body kit just no wing i have got the wing but need to get it fited.
and my 18 by 8inch vy ss rims i would love a set of convo pros 15 or 16 will see

hay boys Well the vn wagen i got for 900 off ebay well it has a 304 v8 th700 auto and vn group a wheels .sv5000 trim 308 LSD diff the guy i got it off sead the it has sv5000 brakes but thay look like vn brakes to me but my still use them i mayed a lot off this car.

Na mate im an upholsterer by trade but motor trimming is a different trade but i can do it as you can see my first time.
