Berlina into Big Banger

Hey everyone. Here is my project, currently my daily but soon it'll go into the shed. It's an 84 VK Berlina that was bought bog stock. Just runs a lazy 202 trimatic, nothing special.

So far Mods are :

new ball joints, tie rod ends, bearings
replaced rear bumper to match front colour
Calais Brakelights
15 inch VN SS rims
16 inch VS Stato rims
17 inch VT International rims
18 inch VY GTS rims (show wheels)
Industrial lowered springs 2.5 inch all round
Peddars sports shocks front, lowered Munroe gas rear
LED brakelights, SMD parkers, 8x SMD interior light
Black rear and side venetians
Calais headrests
Custom made parcel shelf brakelight
VS front seats and front door speaker pods
woodgrain steering wheel
tinted windows
Sony xplod head unit and 300 6 inch front doors
Kenwood 300 6x9 rears
JVC 800w amp
JBL 1000w 12inch sub
Pod filter
Straight cut cam gears
2.5 inch exhaust, straight thru muffler (genie extractors to come)
Eagle 9mm ignition leads
Painted calipers and drums

A 5L and LSd will go in soon enough along with the bodykit when in the shed.

Gday, very nice vk commodore, If i was you, I would leave it. But, put the v8 in it. Nothing beats the sound of a V8!! Cheers Jason

looks like a good car to start with mate.
A good Grp C conversion like in the picture is a very ambitious task though, but it has been done by quite a few (a couple of threads on Street Commodores).

there is a member on here FAT084 that did a conversion, I used to not like it cause of the 4/71, Now I love it..

It was in Street Machine December 2009 I believe. Take a look at that

I've always loved the look of the phat guards and the big front spoiler, the paint job just burns your retina's from 100m lol. I know others have done it but I want to drive one, not look at it in a mag or dvd lol hahaha.Tax time should see some progress in the right direction!

The kit's coming from SVE in S.A. Once the kit's trial fitted the whole body will be cleaned up. I plan to remove the guard aerial hole and add a VE aerial to the rear roof.

I put my new rims on after having them powdercoated white and they look a treat.
