Well i have a new project now !!!!!! I salvaged it from my mates farm he was going to run it over with his bulldozer !!!!!! Its a 1986 model nissan 720 king cab 4x2 ute .... Got permission from the missus again to do another project but this one will built for my eldest daughter , gets her L plates next year so the old Como will be put aside for a while!!!!!!!!! Keen to see how i can transform this one (ha ha) Minitruck style!!!!!!!!!

Bit of an update since i have not been on in a little while ...... The old VB is still going awesome no troubles with it yet ....even had no troubles with the law ....!!!! got pulled over once but they asked just to have a look at the car!!!!!!!ha ha Nice blokes car freaks..... As for the latest project daughters nissan is coming along slow the Cab is ready to be lifted off and have all ready started to smooth over the chassis, filling any holes with the Mig then sanding smooth..... Her ute will come out better than the commodore!!!!!!! The engine transplant for the ute will be a VN-VR v6 should go nice......

In between all that i have started to get ready for next years bush fishin trip by building my own bush boat trailer......... I thought i would go all out and build a fully independent suspension style setup !!!!!

What a weapon this thing is ha ha ha !!!!!!!still not finished yet but here is what it looks like so far!!!!!!!!

Also used the simmons b45 for the trailer and fitted with mud terrains a bit of a different look for commodore wheel !!!!!!!!

This is the old boat trailer big difference !!!!!!!!!

Just does not end always got something to make but its good been teaching the kids how to use tools and showing the eldest boy how to weld !!!!!!! and keeps them out of the missus hair!!!!!

Mate I thought I was on the Fishnet Forum. I just recently sold my boat. A good trailer makes all the difference. Mine had galvanized checker plate running down the sides from the guards to the back of the trailer. The guards where also made from galvanized steel plate. Stopped all the rocks getting tossed at the boat and also made and excellent step to get in and out the boat when on the trailer. I just turned the axel over and put it under the leaf spring for more clearance. Just had to back further down the ramp to launch and retrieve. I like your suspension set up.

I too am have trouble with my Holley 650 double pumper. I don't think it is a good choice for a road car. What wheel tyre combo are you running?

hey mate just noticed on this pic
    http://i876.photobucket.com/albums/a...CARSHOW014.jpg

that you've blocked off both your smaller hose outlets, are you still doing this? also I've taken my air con out, it used to have hoses that went to the thermostat housing and another one to the waterpump, with another hose between the housing and waterpump.
Do I still need to run the hose between housing and waterpump? or could I block them off? cheers
