Get rid of the little bit of rust under the rear window.

This is my new VK and yes i am keeping the other one

Picked this up for a cheap price so just planning to restore it and paint it and keep it as a stock interceptor minus the paint of course.

Still has all the police mounts and wiring for the lights and sirens in it but they were removed by the 2nd owner.

I am the 5th owner of this and only the 3rd one to drive it since the police

Hasn't been driven or registered since 2005 and has been sitting and thats why its so dirty.

    Drives nicely though

This is what happens to a fuel tank after sitting for 5 years and you go to move it, you find ####ing holes.

Nice dodgy fix to get it less the 5km from his place to mine though.

Yes that is Gas Tank Repair and bluetak

Got 2 more fuel tanks at home anyway so will just change it out and put a new one in.

And photo of the stock police exhaust, twin off the headers into them middle muffler and single out the back.

nah since its not a stamped BT1 since the SA ones weren't stamped and i hate that colour after seeing it on every VK and VL in melbourne these days

Not sure what colour im gonna paint it yet, considering a few but the rest of the car is staying as is minus a tidy up since its a good pick up to keep for the future

That and i can go to down destroying my other one which isn't a collectible

Well the gas is gone for good

Gave it a wash today as well to get rid of 5 years of cobwebs and dirt off it, still needs a good scrub later on but alot better now.

Lines and tank are gone and ripped out all the wiring and shit for it, even found the guage for it stuffed up under the steering column which i didn't know was there.

Flushed the oil and radiator and put a new thermostat and oil filter.

Removed the stupid ass petrol solenoid that the gas tools had put in and cut the fuel lines without flaring them, stuck a filter in where it was since i didn't have enough hose to get across it atm since shops are closed.

Got the proper air cleaner on it with a new filter, need to get a hose for the blowby off the rocker cover when i cbf.

If you are going the "Collectable" route then it should be painted whatever the original color was.

You going to move the battery on this one marcus? Would look alot better without the battery, and also, place the charcoal canister under the front guard and run the lines to it.

Nah keeping it in the engine bay, all of it, don't care about this one being clean or anything but normal, will tidy the rust and crap up but hoses and shit don't bother me.

OH NOES THE EGR VALVE WHATEVER WILL I DO

Was reading my manual, doesn't show anything for different headers on the VG engine, only on the Group A VC Prefix engine.

Been to busy with work to do much on this latly.

Had Ari around last night tuning the engine up and found a few minor things to change but over all its running better.

My bluetak on the tank finally gave out last night, lasted almost a month

Will be changing the tank and installing the stereo this weekend hopefully.

    Also got some headers

lol you literally did say that a few times.

Got a new battery today, new sparks plugs and small dizzy cap and some new battery terminals so we wont have to jump the car everytime its turned off as it was last night.

not Police exhaust...just std VK V8 exhaust (have a look at the GMH parts manual for VK)

    also
curious as to why its got a rear stabiliser (top RH of pic) as VK BT1s had no rear bar ex factory
