this is my efi 202 vk that ive had for a few months now bit of a hottie project for a weekend car.. anyway its pretty clean goes well for what it is been rebuilt etc not long ago paints very good too. im looking to put ether a black 308 in it or an injected 304 was wondering what people thought? injected or carby? pros and cons what exactly i will need for both convertions engineers info etc aswel? prices? also i have 20in supersports and i was wondering what id need to do to get them to fit up front?![]()
no engineers needed for a 308, 304 you can get away with but its a grey area. there are heaps of threads in the VK section detailing how to go about the swap. try "advanced search" button to the top right of screen and try something like "308 conversion VK" itll have tonnes of results.
i personally prefer carbys. i love the sound, love how they carry on rattling and wobbling and generally running badly. some people love the smoother idle and fuel economy of efi. the final choice is up to you really. but yeah, nothin' sounds better that a big cammed carby 308 opening up. they just ROAR, like a lion i guess

Carby 308/304's smell better nothing like a cold start carby running rich as #### smells so good im like an abo at a petrol station

okay ladies n gents thought id update u cause im bored. the car has jsut had gards rolled crackt paint a little but going to get all touched up just swapt my 20in supersports and some coin for a full vs ss 5ltr efi conversion.. box motor... loom has been done cause was in a vk... um and has the gearbox x member. i need to get a tail shaft and few bits and peices also sold my 19in sigs and brought new 20in sigs![]()
Mate I was going to go EFI but just love the iconic look of the the big carby and a big chrome air cleaner mounted in the centre, chrome rocker covers and extractors hanging off each side. My VK is going to have an old school look.
If you are going for the big wheels etc maybe efi would be more inkeeping with your look you are try to achieve.
