gday, im new here thought i chuck my car up and show you guys. feel free to ask anything.
its a vk commodore, i traded it for my vk 355 stroker.
years ago it was a 355 over east and was brought and transported here (WA)
engine was removed and replaced with low km ls1 and 4l60e, from vy ss. The car is fully engineered and permitted.
its got pacemaker extractors that were cut and rewelded on drivers side to make fit, big brake upgrade, koni suspesion, home made air intake,
mafless tune, 3" cat back, vs fuel tank, b&m quickshift,
currently got full grp 3 kit except spoiler which i have in shed. also have 15" areos big they need to be machined because they rub on front breaks.
work will begin soon i have sre custom grind cam specs:
234/244@50 112ls .584 lift
cam requires minimum 3800 stall but i will go with 4000, heads will be shaved 20thou to bump up comp. either edelbrock pro flo manifold or victor with 1000cfm throttle body. aftermarked fuel rails etc. wile engine is out i hope to paint the car maybe white or silver but am undecided yet.
car currently makes 310rwhp am hoping for around 400

to all use telling me about rims anyone ever heard of skids?
i have many sets of rims
vt gts 18s
vy r8
15" areos
15" vp calias
stockies are on the back coz they the only rims that had tread on tyres, areos arnt on because they dont clear break callipers and the rest are bald and have better things to spend my money on at the moment. other than that thanks for the comments, its an aussie desert cooler, was about $1400. traction will be a major issue, but that was the whole reason for putting the cam in :P

Nice very nice did you put the motor and box in yourself?? if so did you have any probs fitting the l460e in as im about to put ls1 and l460e into a vh and just want to know if ill have any issuse with the gear box fitting before i go trying to drop it all in ?? and who cut your pacemakers to fit and how much did it cost as im in wa also..cheers for any info you might be able to help me with

Love it mate can tell alot of work has gone into that bay. Though i must say lift the rear end up it looks silly

wicked bogan mobil mate, engine looks the goods in there, get some better rims.
Oh and i do "waste" my $350 tyres, at least i can trust they will hold a skid and be trustworthy on the track as well

nar man never got a price but i would say they would be around the same as the vl-vs ls1 one around 800-900. they will be 1 3/4" primaries, 2" secondaries and 2 1/2" Outlet. I was hoping for 1 7/8 primarys and 3 1/2 outlets. I wont be using extractors anyways but was just looking into it just in case i cant get my turbo setup regod might.

Im glad you posted it i was just starting to think about what i was going to do for headers/extractors as the ls1 i have already has pacemakers on it and was pretty keen to mod them to fit but not now ill just flog em off then alls i gotta get going on is the tailshaft, diff, brakes and suspension
One hell of a ride I bet. I was thinking of the ls1 option for my vk and I think I'll take it!
