Newly purchased VK SS
Hi Everyone,
Im new to the forums (:P)..... This is my newly aquired VK SS commodore
MODEL: 1985 VK SS commodore
BODY: VK SS with group A body kit and sunroof. Dark Grey colour
ENGINE: (HEC) Worked carby 308 (5.0L). Rebuilt a couple of years ago. Horsepower yet to be determined. approx 250-280RWHP.
ENGINE MODS: 3/4 race cam, L34 heads, 650 4 barrel holley carby (double pumper), edelbrok manifold. custom rocker covers and air cleaner. After-market harmonic balancer (teeth).
TRANS: TH350 with B and M quick shifter. Trans-cooler. 2800 hi-stall convertor
DIFF: 9" LSD
EXHAUST: Pacemaker headers running to a single 2.5" , with 3" tip after muffler.
STEREO: None so far....
INTERIOR: Custom dark grey Velor, custom handbrake, pedals and holden wooden steering wheel... Custom slide away inlay above central vents for controlling future stereo and amplifier units. B&M fire extinguisher.
BRAKES: 4-disc brakes, with extra grooves cut to assist brake disc cooling and friction.

soz i didnt post future mods etc..
well, im looking to put either a group A bonnet on, or attach a hornet bonnet scoop...
Plus possibly put it on gas research (twin throttle body system) in a year or so... not sure though. Most of teh nitty gritty running gear work is already done... Also needs a new dash.

OMG... I never thought I say anything bad about HSV...but take the HSV badge off the front it looks shit.
Otherwise not bad for a Vk...

looks nice. any more pics of the interior? i reckon some new wheels too. at least all the hard expensive work is done (running gear and interior.) and yeah sorry to say the HSV badge needs to come off. maybe some HDT stickers for the rear quarters. but a good looking car over all mate, a good purchase too.

thanks for the suggestions guys... Yeah an HDT sticker on the rear quarter would be pretty sick.... The badge... Yeah i guess it doesnt really suit it. Once I get bored of the look i'll prob remove it :P.. Ummm i'll take some more pics of the interior and of the back of the car too... Wheels, id like to get some solid chrome rims ($$$$) on some phat muscle tires (good year etc...).... Not sure if they'd be compatible though... And i might need my guards rolled... :S

hey dude thats a niiiiice vk u got theremay i ask where u got it form cos one of my workmates used to own something very similar to yours and he sold it about 2 years ago with some of the same mods cos if u bought it u got yourself a tuff as nails car
I got it from Perth in an area close to the canning river(because i live in perth).. I should really put that im from perth in my profile (sorry I am a newb to this site). Umm yeah it goes hard and has an extremely loud bark
