    Default 1983 vh sl/e

i have a 1983 vh sl/e 253 3speed auto near original condition. "vicky hilton" has replaced my VC sle which was stolen a couple of months ago and i am hoping this one will stick around for awhile. i brought her for $1500 in sydney and its all fairly stock. work starts straight away, looking into alarms this week and go from there. ill keep you all up to date with the progress.
    cheers

no real big plans as i am affraid she will get knocked off to. but i am looking at lowering a few inches, a set of headers and some vt r8 wheels. maybe a fresh coat of paint, i was thinking ppg pacific blaze.

i put vk front indicators on as soon as i got her and replaced the radiator.
also replaced the boot sleeve. minor stuff but i am pacing myself, haha.
    cheers

cold air tray went in today with little hassel, so i am happy about that.
also chucked on some xenon head light globes, and its amazing the difference it makes!
    pics...
also anyone know where i can get a hold of bonet gas struts, ebay only has ones for the tailgate. would SUPERcheap or auto1 have these?

Quick tip. Stick a padlock around the T-bar shift. In between the T and the piece you lift to change gears. Cheap and effective. Nice car mate. Got a soft spot for the SL/E

haha funny you said that about the padlock. that was on the vc when stolen. and thats the first thing i brought after getting vickyH.
it doesnt matter the alarm and immobiliser went into the car today, so i can sleep easy now haha.

also minor thing, i changed the jet washers on the bonet that were old and plain crap to new dual washers. you have never seen such clean glass! ah i am an idiot....

what are the best mods for more power? i am looking at speanding round 800 to 1200 bucks on a tidy up of the 253.
i am already tired of the cruising and want to fly, for a 253 anyways.
