Howdy all. I don't know if i'm lucky or just plain greedy! but have 2 classic Holden SL/E Commodores.
First off, my VB SL/E 308 pack, which is a rare car.
Model: 1979 VB SL/E 308 pack
Motor: red 308 5 litre
Gearbox: M21 Close ratio aussie 4 speed manual, factory fitted
Colour: Sandlewood Beige Metallic
Interior Trim Colour: Buckskin
Speedo: close to hitting 150000ks.
I have had it for 6 years so far. The headlight washers/wipers still work!
And second is a VC SL/E 330 pack Shadow Tone
Model: 1980 VC SL/E 330 pack
Motor: blue 202
Gearbox: 3 speed Tramatic
Colour: Magnum Silver over Aztec Silver, might be factory, might be not
Interior Trim Colour: Carmine(red) hate it
Speedo: says 33000+ but it doesn't work.

Very nice collection Damien, it seems we have a lot in common as I also have a rare VB, a 310 pack which I will be restoring to factory specs beginning early next year and I also have a twotone VC 4.2l SLE which is a genuine 2 owner vehicle I use a a weekend ride. Great choice in cars and best of luck with your restoration.![]()

The Opel Senator, well the owner wanted way to much money. It would of cost a lot to restore anyway. AFAIK it still for sale, and it has gone up in price!.

im looking at buying a vb sl/e 253 4 spd for $200 its ruff but what do you expect for a bargain price lol if its to far gone im going to transplant all the sl/e gear to my vh apart from the engine as its a red 253 without pollution gear so it'll have to run on straight gas and i dont like gas lol
Hope it isn't rough, these SL/Es are the rare ones to get these days. Even if the 4 speed manual is factory, not many of those built factory!

yeah i hope it's not rough to if its fixable i'll do it up aswell then have 2 early commodores i'll use the vh as a daily driver and the vb sl/e as a weekend cruiser if not and it's to much for me to fix myself i'll get the parts that i want and sell it to someone looking for a project![]()
Well 2T0NE is roo-ted, found out the inlet and exhaust manifold are totally stuffed. I don't know if i should spend the dosh on fixing it or going nucking futs with a 5litre, either carby or EFI.
