The beast looks a lot better than when I saw it![]()
Nice run on the clock mate, mines 247
Lose the exhaust head and replace with extractors mate, you WILL notice the difference.
It may even get rid of possibly smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe ...
Go wreckers if u want the cheap parts. see if u can walk around the yard
ps. i like ur sig saying![]()

did the SL/E door trims come with arm rests too?
looks like she will be nice once you finish her.![]()
Great project.
Are you going to leave the 202 in her or chuck in something bigger?
thanx guys
goon i have extractors sitting in the shed just have to fit them and get my new exhaust system 2 1/4in i reckon and the sig saying i think it came from your web site not sure if it did hope you dont mind me borrowing it liked the way it sounds lol
vk_308 nah im looking for a pair of front arm rests atm want dark blue so i dont have to vinyl paint them i reckon $50 was a good price for them though
juzsvy im leaving the 202 in her til i get off my P's then going to look into a injected 5 litre
nice job man looks good will be a good project definatly
Yep, that's the way i'd go too, you could muck around with 253's or 283 chevs but if your gonna spend the money then go the injected 5, alot more potential.
yeah thats why i chose the inj 5 litre there are a lot of aftermarket parts available and there is alot of threads on here and other sides about how to do it but it will have to wait til i get off my P's cause of the new laws about p platers not aloud to drive v8's but that doesnt worry me gives me more time to save for the conversion
Hey if u ever take out your 202, let us know if your selling the parts![]()
I like your mags, just noticed on the 4th pic on how beefey the look
As for that sig thing mate, i have the same sticker on my car
Done any work on the gearbox yet? maybe a service? its easy takes about an hour if done right and 4 car stands and the kit for under 20 dollars.
goon yeah i think i saw it on a pic of your car lol i havent done anything to the gearbox yet going to do a service though for sure although it never slips changes smooth just doing it as a precaution the mags i bought at a garage sale they were cheep so i bought em if i pull the 202 out i will let you know mate
1991_vn2nv yeah mate i love v8's so it was a logical option the 5l plus with all the step by step info around the net on how its done i cant go wrong
Nice mate, should be good once it's finished. And even better with a 5.0 V8 in there!

those bboss rims come in a MIN of 19" so i think the chop is a bit off lol, they look tough as on commies, i thinking about getting a set or another 5 spoke set if i can find out what they are lol.
Oh and i think they cost like $5500 for the rimsbut you wont see many sets!
i'm like the progress so far, Its looking good!
yeah the chop is a bit off but you get the general picture i havent decided on any particular rims yet if i see something i like i will get em chopped on to the vh to see what they look like keep you all posted any ideas on rims that would suit through your ideas at me
Hey man, cheers for the reply. This car reminds me of someone elsesAs for rims, I say rather than spend all your money on rims, buy some pursuits then lower it on them. Dunno what it is about a set of pursiuts on a low-as first gen commo, but they generally look alot better than most basic rims. Good luck with her.
looking good would look mad with the final white coat of paint and the vr clubsport rims![]()
thats not a bad idea mate with the pursuits it will be lowered and that way tyres dont cost a fortune either i got new gaskets and started puting the motor back together today my next pay im going to get a carbi kit and new plugs, leads, oil and all new filters so it should run sweet again it was running a little ruff last time i started it 2 of my spark plugs were stuffed going to tune the carbi and do the timing right this time
