My New Car. 1985 VK SL - LOW 202

After my first car (85 VK Berlina EFI 202) got double defected & crashed i started looking for a new car.

i found this one, Red VK SL, low km's (very low), body, paint, engine and interior all in A1 condition so i snapped it up.. heres the details!

Name: Corey
Model: 1986 VK SL
Engine: 3.3L 202.
Engine Mods: 350 Holley, aftermarket air filter & a 2.5 inch Lukey sports exhaust.
Gearbox: Auto Trimatic (soon to be manual hopefully)
Power: Not enough.. more low down guts than my old one

Wheels: Chrome 17 inch with 225/45/R17 on front and 235/45/R17 on the rear.

Paint: RED! with grey bumpers

Interior: Grey.. black dash mat.. Tomorrow im putting my custom dash badge, berlina hi rise console, VR door pods, maybe sports steering wheel (might wait and buy a fully legal one, dont want another defect)

Stereo: At the moment, pioneer CD head unit and 4 crappy 6inches that all came in the car
Tomorrow: Kenwood MP3,CD,DVD,USB head unit, Kenwood 6.5inches in front and rear doors, Kenwood 6x9s in custom MDF parcel shelf powered by a 2channel Kenwood amp, and a 1000W Kenwood 12" sub powered by a 650WRMS jensen monoblock amp. (all out of my old car)

Build Period: Since today

Future mods: MANUAL CONVERSION. HDT grill painted red, asteroid silver front & rear bars & maybe calais door moulds. More interior mods (VN Calais front seats, VK Calais rear seat & VK Berlina or Calais door trims)

best thing of all: it has under 100,000 km's!! 96,750 to be exact

yeah im so happy with it, i thought it wouldnt be the same as my other one cause its not my first car. but i like it even more
it also has an alarm, immobiliser, central locking and tinted windows

thanks everyone, not sure if i wanna go EFI or not because it goes alot better than my EFI VK did!

i did a bit to it today, washed and gave it a cut and polish, it came up beautiful i sprayed my grill red and with a clear coat, put my darker Berlina tail lights on, sprayed my venetians white and put them in (look good behind the tint) also thinking the tint could be a light mirror tint aswell.
tomorrow should be getting my stereo in and my chrome interior pieces (door handles, window winders etc.) and spraying my hi-rise console grey and putting that in

looking good mate unbelievably low kms i got a vh dash with 002581kms on it came with alot of other parts i bought off ebay think its dont 10002581km though lol grill looks good mate great colour match keep up the good work

When you have done a bit of driving let us know what kind of fuel economy it gets! I Would be interested to see what its like with the Holley carb and those mods

the speedo does go to 200, its just the pic i took cuts it out

i get better economy with this one than i did with the old EFI VK.
i have in between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank left and ive done around 240 km's

stay carby then chuck my lump stick in it and a bit of head work she will scream
