my starfire vc. life and death.
hello all. just thort id show u all my pride and joy. she was a 1980 vc 1.9 litre auto. with a freshly rebuilt engine. i got it off a bloke down the road from me for 500 big ones. the body was full of dents but no rust. i jst bought it as an everyday cheap runner. but 1 thing led 2 anotha. i really jst cleaned it all up . redid the interoir with new carpet . put 6 cylinder front struts and diff in 2 run the bigga wheels . lowered it a bit. cleaned up the engine bay . put a stereo in. a heap of little things.
i spent ages at the wreckers lookin 4 bits. i loved this car 2 bits. i had it 4 less than a year and did bout 40 000 k in it. with out a prob. apart from the rear springs falling out on a few occasions . ill put up some more piks soon

sweet, those little starfires are a bloody strong motor, my oldman had one for donkeys years, couldn't kill the damm thing, and believe me i tried. pity you have already re-built the motor as there is a cheaper way to re-build one that not many now of, believe it or not it's cheaper to buy all 173 components than it is to buy the starfire bits, yet there exactly the same, you just end up with spares of some of the internals.

yea they jst keep goin ay. i use 2 take the poor old thing to 6500grand, for no reason really, it didnt make any more power.the previous owner got the engine rebuilt so it didnt cost me anything. i managed 2 kill it tho. i crashed it into a powerpole.that 57kw of raw power was to much to handle.lol.ill post some piks up wen my mate shows me how.

Ah, that's such a shame.
But damn, that interior pic goes to show just how stuff it really is.
What about your engine and tranny? Is that all salvageable?
