Hallo,

Here in Germany the Holden Commodore is named as Opel Rekord-E or Senator-A so it's like the Commodore VB
My car:
Model: Opel Rekord-E Wagon
Motor: 1.9 CIH with 55 KW/75PS
Transmission: TH180 3spd - Automatic
Build: 1980
I want to learn more over the Holden Commodore, build in 1978 -1985.
Transmission,Machines,interieur,Wheels...and ,and , and...
So enough about my car, if you have any informations or PDF or somthing else please mail me, i can you give informations about the German versions.

^^^ thats right.
the commodore design was taken from OPEL and made into what we know it as.
interesting setup they had in these. small motor, but interesting setup lol
Here some features wich was installed in the german Rekord / Commodore:
In Australia they were fitted with the following engine and transmission combos:
VB (1978-1980)
Two V8 engines were available, a 253(4.2lt) or 308(5lt) locally produced OHV engine. There were 4 transmission options, a 4 speed manual, a 3 speed trimatic (auto), a 3 speed Turbo350 (308 only) and 3 speed Turbo400 (308 only).
VC (1980-1981)
Engine and transmission options are the same as the VB with the exclusion of the Turbo350 and Turbo400 trans.
VH (1981-1984)
Same as VC
VK (1984-1986)
Same as VH with the exception of the 308 drop in capacity in mid 1985 to 304ci(4.9lt) with relation to weight penalties within Group A racing.
Selling FG G6E Turbo and buying a N/A Supra
I just read a book that had a pic of a Commodore VB front end on a 1979 Toyota Celica body....looked interesting....
I FRYED RICE!!!
haha funny considering the amount of work some people have put into making there 4 doors 2 doors in australia and yet you could buy them standard in germany.
if you want to know all about commodores try getting the Gregorys manuals off ebay, since the manuals pretty much cover every possible thing about the model and engine listed on the cover, im sure .pdfs of them could be found somewhere though if somebody spent enough time looking.
Hi guys, great forum you have here.
I have one of 2 door Opel Rekords. I have changed the front to a VC and fitting an Injected 308.
Hi there!
We also got these cars in S.A., but here they were marketed as Chevrolets. They had either 1900 or 2300 4 cylinder engines(Rekord), or the American Chev big sixes of either 230 (3800) or 250 (4100)cu.ins. You could get the Commodore with either engine and the Senator with the 4100 and auto box. Mine is a 1983 Chev Commodore 3.8L with a 350 Turbo Hydramatic box (see my post for photo).
Cheers
